Richard Burbridge is a well know photographer for his photography work in the fashion industry as well as being a fashion photographer he also does portrait work one of my reasons for researching him. the work i am most interested in tho is his masks work for Livraison Magazine
In the article the reporter wrote “Masks are traditionally used for costumes to conceal one’s face, and sometimes religious ceremonies. Incorporating masks into fashion creates interesting themes that will capture the attention of consumers. Masks are regarded as mysterious, which stands to make any consumer curious about a fashion line that uses them.”
Although i do agree i also feel very strongly that masks can be used in any sort of imagery when they say that asks are regarded as mysteriuose i do also believe that a mask can make an image beautiful i do believe that it will be tricky to do this as i have only do it once in my previous work and thats why i didn’t continue with it but it is also my reason for coming back to it as i wanted to push myself out of my comfort zone.

i think that shooting in black and white or even editing my images into black and white will help as i feel that B&W photography does come out as very strong pieces and you get much more emotion with the subject and the person viewing the work.
